A Five-Piece Ensemble Playing Music From The 1940’s, 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s
Formed in 1993 as the house band for the legendary Blues Bouquet in downtown Boise , the Hoochie Coochie Men have played many concerts, wedding receptions and other private events all over Southern Idaho. They are a five-piece ensemble consisting of keyboards/harmonica, drums, guitar, bass and sax/flute. Three of the members are lead singers.
They have twice played at the prestigious Waterfront Blues Festival in Portland and in 2007 represented Boise in the Annual International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. Besides their own blues-oriented material, The Hoochie Coochie Men play Jazz Standards/Big Band from the 1940’s as well as 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s.
